Kenzie Free is the perfect way to learn to code if you have no coding experience but want to learn some basics, see if a career in tech is right for you, and practice before starting your program. Even if you already code, Kenzie Free is a great refresher. You can do it from home, on your own time, and without any pressure.
These courses introduce HTML, CSS, and JavaScript through video tutorials and hands-on practice which allow you to practice coding while seeing the results in real-time. It’s important to complete the three courses in order to ensure you get the most out of our free coding classes. Course 1 will teach you the basics of HTML, course 2 will help you understand CSS, and course 3 will bring it all together as you learn JavaScript.
The amount of time it takes someone to learn to code varies on their personal learning style. With support from professionals and peers, you may pick up the basics within the first 6 months and then perfect your skills within a year. Our Software Engineering, Full-Stack Web Development, and UX Design programs are 9-12 months long to account for the time it takes to really master the art of coding.
