How long does it take to learn to code?
The amount of time it takes someone to learn to code varies on their personal learning style. With support from professionals and peers, you may pick up the basics within the first 6 months and then perfect your skills within a year. Our Software Engineering, Full-Stack Web Development, and UX Design programs are 9-12 months long to account for the time it takes to really master the art of coding.
Are coding schools or bootcamps worth it?
Yes! Hiring managers and employers see coding schools and bootcamps as credible and valuable options for skills-based education. The Kenzie Academy bootcamp style programs are longer than traditional bootcamps to provide a deep learning process and more flexibility. With this style of learning, you get more time to absorb, retain, and practice the concepts and principles of coding.
How difficult are Kenzie Academy programs?
Our programs aren’t easy, but they also aren’t out of reach for dedicated learners. Our Academic Team of course facilitators, subject matter experts, and coaches will guide you through the material and provide help along the way. Our Learner Services Team also checks in with learners to make sure they’re on the right track.
We also strive to provide enough support to our learners; however, your success depends on you! Don’t enter a Kenzie program lightly — but if you put in the work and take advantage of the available resources, you’ll set yourself up for great success.
